BEC Feed Solutions has commenced the final stages of building construction at their Carole Park location, as it transforms into a new state-of-the-art premix manufacturing facility.
This project involves consolidation of sites in Carole Park that BEC Feed Solutions has operated for many years.
The new facility will feature a manufacturing plant equipped with integrated technology unique to the premix industry, a new warehouse, and adjoining contemporary two-storey office building.
General Manager of Premix and Feed Additives Australia & New Zealand, Mr Mark Fitzgerald said BEC Feed Solutions commitment is to invest in the core business of the company.
“This project will allow us to improve our production capacity, accuracy, efficiency, traceability and hygiene standards.” Said Mr Fitzgerald.
“This is the most significant development BEC Feed Solutions has made, and a genuine investment for the future of our business.”
“It’s an exciting time for BEC Feed Solutions, and we are pleased to work closely with our key suppliers to make this long-held plan a reality.” He said.
Skiold & VMS Australia, in conjunction with Skiold Denmark, has been contracted for the supply and installation of the new manufacturing plant equipment, with the process control system designed and supplied by local Brisbane company Bitwise (Probatch).
BEC Feed Solutions has appointed Italian company Concetti to develop the state-of-the-art integrated packing line technology that will feature in the new facility.
BEC Feed Solutions will continue to manufacture and supply products from their existing production facilities in Carole Park until the new plant is completed.
Demolition of the former office and warehouse structure commenced in August, with the new office building reaching competition by March this year.
The full project is expected to be completed by December 2020.
