THE HISTORY OF

BEC FEED SOLUTIONS

Established in 1987, BEC Feed Solutions initially specialised in the export of rural commodities. A year later, the company expanded into a premix manufacture, concentrating on supplying the Australian stock feed industry with premix, feed ingredients and commodity supply. The construction of a warehouse, to accommodate growing commodity trading, premix and feed ingredient business took place in 1998. BEC Feed Solutions has grown significantly ever since with having offices internationally located New Zealand and Indonesia.

In 2009 BEC established National Feed Solutions (NFS), a joint venture in western Sydney. NFS is ideally located to provide product distribution and support to key farming areas in NSW.

BEC acquired DHA Rural Services in 2011, located in Toowoomba and servicing the Darling Downs.

In 2013 BEC expanded operations into Indonesia and established an office in central Jakarta.

The business grew and an office was opened in Surabaya (Indonesia’s second largest city), before the Pasuruan premix plant was officially opened in July 2019. This was a momentous occasion for BEC and allows us to provide freshly made premix to Indonesia’s livestock industry.

At the start of 2020 BEC commenced our long held plans of creating a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility as part of a major project to consolidate the two sites that occupied Antimony Street in Carole Park. The new facility will features a manufacturing plant equipped with integrated technology unique to the premix industry, a new warehouse, and adjoining contemporary two-storey office building.

This is the most significant development BEC Feed Solutions has ever made, and allows us to improve our production capacity, accuracy, efficiency, traceability and hygiene standards.

Skiold & VMS Australia, in conjunction with Skiold Denmark, supplied and installed the new manufacturing plant equipment, with the process control system designed and supplied by local Brisbane company Bitwise (Probatch). Italian company Concetti developed the state-of-the-art integrated packing line technology that features in the unique facility.
