BEC Feed Solutions Opens Premix Plant in Indonesia

BEC Feed Solutions celebrated the Grand Opening of their Premix Plant in Indonesia on July 3rd.

Located in the Pasuruan Industrial Estate in East Java, the Premix Plant is the first manufacturing facility outside of Australia for the BEC Feed Solutions Group.

The plant boasts a unique, double shaft paddle mixer guaranteeing exceptional mixing quality and allowing the facility to produce at least 15,000 tonnes per year.

President Director of BEC Feed & Premix Solutions Indonesia, Mr Frederic Salle, explained that producing premix in Pasuruan allows BEC the flexibility to supply local feed mills and farms with specific nutritional products that are delivered fast and fresh. 

“The Pasuruan premix facility is BEC Feed Solutions’ first step in expanding business across South East Asia” said Frederic Salle.

“Our nutrition business was expanding rapidly in Indonesia and it became necessary to produce close to our customers.” He said.

Managing Director of the BEC Feed Solutions Group, Mr Brett Antonio, said that the expansion in Indonesia is an opportunity for BEC to share 35 years’ experience in the Australian animal feed industry.

“BEC Feed Solutions have a proven track record in the Australian feed industry and we have extended our business to New Zealand and Indonesia in the last 6 years” He said.

“We manufacture thousands of tonnes of premix per year in Australia for the local, New Zealand and Pacific Island markets, and it’s important to us to deliver the same high-quality products and superior value add customer support to our Indonesian partners.” He said.

Over 70 invited guests from around the world visited the Pasuruan premix plant to celebrate the milestone and to tour the factory floor and offices that also house a state-of-the-art vitamin and premix cool room, Format formulation software, and Near Infrared Analysis (NIR) for feed testing.
