On May 13, 2025, BEC together with Novonesis held a new product launch of Bovacillus & SiloSolve® FC at Hotel Episode Serpong, Tangerang. The launch was conducted in a seminar entitled “Discover the Power of Good Bacteria; Launch of Bovacillus and SiloSolve® FC”. The event featured three speakers who are experts in their fields, namely Bruno Ieda Capelloza, Ph.D. – Global Product Technical Manager Ruminant, Novonesis; Rafael Camargo Do Amaral, Ph.D. – Global Product Technical Manager – Silage, Novonesis; and Andrew Mitchell – Cattle DFM & Silage Sales Manager – OCEANIA, Novonesis.

Probiotics – Bovacillus

Bovacillus is a probiotic that contains two types of bacterial active ingredients, Bacillus licheniformis and Bacillus subtilis in powder form.

These two active ingredients have been proven to improve livestock performance by optimizing the performance of the rumen and digestive tract. Bovacillus itself works through three main mechanisms, namely inhibiting pathogens directly, supporting gut integrity, and producing digestive enzymes such as amylase, protease, and lipase.

From a series of tests, Bovacillus has been shown to increase post-weaning calf weight, improve colostrum quality and milk quality in dairy cows, and improve carcass quality.

It is also very stable and flexible to use. Bovacillus can be used in mother’s milk, milk replacer, finished feed, or even vitamin-mineral blocks. The dosage is very efficient and has been proven in the field.

Silage Inoculant – Silosolve FC

Many farmers face losses in producing silage for animal feed even up to 50% loss of dry matter. This is due to many factors and one of them is the lack of effective fermentation that occurs.

Siolsolve FC contains Lactobacillus lactis and Lactobacillus buchneri bacteria which are proven in more than 19 studies to improve aerobic stability for up to 481 hours or 20 days.

He continued, Silosolve FC is proven to increase aerobic stability in silage so that its quality is maintained. In addition, Silosolve FC is suitable for use in various types of forage such as alfalfa, various types of grass (king grass, elephant grass, and others), corn leaves, sugar cane, sorghum, and even any forage that can be found around the farm.
